About The Artwork
The emperor Federico II (early XIII century) built a castle in which he got spending his time in intellectual conversations with his friends poets, philosophers and scientists. The name of the castel is Castel del Monte: it has eight towers and eight walls (because 8 meand infinity) and looks like a symbolic seek about perfection and harmony. This image is a part of a research on architectural stilemas based on infinite repetition.
