About The Artwork
This is for Italy lovers. To me this photograph contains in a nutshell the atmosphere one finds in a hot late August day in Tuscany, Italy. The oranges gradually reach a Terra di Siena tint, while the rather dark yellows are streakes of light coming from an already mature summer sun. The vegetation's green is fading after months of heat and dehydration. It is slowly burning, turning brownish as autumn approaches. But in my beloved Italy, August is still blazing, as the overall warm feel of this image conveys. Technically, I captured this image with a long exposure of 15 seconds on rippled water. To compensate the strong sun, I used an ND10 plus an ND2 filter.
