BUSINESS MUST GO ON Photograph

What will archaeologists of another galaxy find one day? Signs, logos… the same ones at the four corners of the planet. Those major companies who now decide on our dreams, desires, tastes, are the new temples our ancestors whose goal was well-being and comfort. Yves Hayat confronts us with this reality, without judgment or proselytizing. These six artworks attest it. From a distance, some people will distinguish a soft landscape punctuated by touch of color. Getting closer, no need of a legend. We come in by these windows, into a silent and lifeless world in ruins where only some indestructible buildings have been spared. Perhaps will you hear the wind sending away a piece of metal sheet somewhere or the leaves of an olive tree rescued in front of a shop. Even the explosions seem to be suspended in the air. There is an absolute peace and quiet, a mildness almost without complaints or diatribes Globalization, standardization, sterilization… There are some well oiled machines which do not know the crisis and resist to the chaos. No message, just a visual report, nearly without unnecessary complaints criticism, but without violence. It is once again the demonstration of the strength of the work of an artist as humble as his topic is direct.
