Balanced Ball Photograph

I decided to take up photography more seriously, after retiring from a career in engineering. Being interested in high-speed photography, and disappointed with the equipment for sale in this field, I decided to build my own device, which turned out to be a great success. Having designed computer systems for a living, it was no great hardship to build a system that took photographs at the exact time a water drop was at its peak, or when two drops were colliding. To say that the results were beyond expectations is an understatement. Being able to control the timing of both the camera and the water drop release valve, to the nearest millisecond, produces images that easily surpass what the market currently has on offer.
