When photographing in sunny spring and summer days, I give every ounce and molecule of my attention to the photograph that I am taking, and I feel lighter and happier, more human. In my 'Be Aware of AI' series, I have photographed Fucus vesiculosus seaweed. The bladderwrack has adapted to the low salinity of the Baltic Sea and supports itself with floating bladders when reaching for the sunlight. I'm sitting on the seashore. My feet rub the warm surface of Precambrian bedrock. The leatherlike thallus of bladderwrack slip through my fingers, and I wonder whether to tell more about them or my photographs. I can't escape photography, but I trust art and nature, even when I suspect that even art's limitless possibilities are not enough when humans and artificial intelligence meet. To help the Baltic bladderwrack to tell its stories also in the future, I will donate 5% of my art sales to John Nurminen Foundation to help them in their mission to save the Baltic Sea. Museum-quality mounted photography print on acrylic glass. A tergo signature.

Finland
I thought about what to write in this introduction, I could tell that I'm the first cyborg from Finland from 1964 or something else, but I don't feel the need for that. I photograph in Finland's national parks, and there in the middle of that greenness, my soul scrapes the interface of art with roughness and passion. I could tell that I studied fine art, and literature. That I sat in a theater in 1984 and visited Budapest, Amsterdam, London, Kafka museum, and St Petersburg. But those also have no significance. Because when I photograph, nothing else matters. I feel that by photographing, I am doing what is far more necessary than anything else. Is this enough for you?
