Bird feathers from the Brazilian Amazon, work nº 06 Photograph - Limited Edition of 5

In my work in this series of photographs, I present abstract compositions, where the feathers of birds from the Brazilian Amazon are protagonists. Through the technique of macro photography, I enter the fascinating world of small details, revealing a hidden beauty that usually escapes our everyday perception. The beauty of the small details that are hidden in the symmetry of the lines, in the exuberance of the colors and in the richness of the textures present in the feathers of birds such as macaws, parrots, parakeets, flamingos and other birds that inhabit the exuberant Amazon rainforest. Each image is a window to a surprising universe, where the delicacy of lines, the exuberance of colors and the richness of textures come to life and intertwine with the harmony of a work of art. The exotic colors, like divine brushstrokes, leap from the portraits, evoking a profusion of life and energy. The colors and textures found in the feathers of Amazonian birds offer a rich aesthetic repertoire for the contemporary world. These feathers display a wide range of vibrant hues, from electric blues and deep greens to intense reds and bright yellows. Additionally, feathers often feature intricate patterns and lush textures, creating a unique combination of visual beauty and touch. From the conception to the creation of the series of macro photographs, it was essential to guarantee the ethical obtaining of bird feathers, avoiding any harm to the animals. I looked for institutions committed to environmental preservation to donate feathers. With the support of the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park in Belém do Pará (BR), the collection of feathers was facilitated by the maintenance team, which collected the feathers found in the environment. This collaboration made photographic capture possible, demonstrating the park's commitment to protecting Amazonian biodiversity.
