So every human being, every animal and every organism leaves its traces in time. The picture is part of a long-term series "Time Traces II", which focuses on fragile structures of nature. The pictures of this series are characterized by a targeted camera movement during the exposure time. The motif "Atlantic Ocean - Bird Rock III" was taken in Canada at Cape St. Marys, a bird sanctuary in Newfoundland. The picture shows a bird rock with thousands of gannets, whose existence is increasingly threatened by climate change. The photo was taken on a full moon night just before sunrise. The photographs in the series "Time Traces II" are taken with cameras that are modified for long exposure times. The resulting image compositions are not subsequently altered on the computer - with the exception of minor corrections aimed at achieving the most authentic picture impression possible. The giclée print was made with pigmented ink of the highest archive quality on matt cotton paper 308 g/m2.
