The higher member of the Black Christ of Santa Maria brotherhood holds his staff in front of torches during Easter Holy Week inside of the Cathedral of Caceres, Extremadura, Spain. The Black Christ sculpture, by an anonymous author arrived to Caceres in the 14th century and is historically linked to the flight of the Templars from Europe to Portugal.
