Bonnes Soeurs au Fort de Vaux I - taken in 2016 at the Fort de Vaux, Verdun, which saw heavy fighting in 1916 during World War I. The craters in the landscape are silent witnesses to the horrors of war in an otherwise peaceful landscape. Together with the somewhat gloomy sky, the three nuns running through the hills created a surreal ambiance. Printed on Hanemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper to retain the soft look and feel of the image, using Epson Ultra Chrome ink and an Epson 11880 printer. The print is offered in a frame, with high quality glass to reduce reflections.
