The inspiration for this artwork is one of great affection for the city of Bradford. It has a rich past and driving into the city, its great industrial past is clear for all to see. As you enter the city from North Street, you are elevated to such an extent that all before you is eye-catching architecture. The top of North Street has a fantastic panorama of an empty mill in the foreground and with Drummond Mill to the left (where you can see the chimney still standing) and Lister's Mill to the top right of the image. Bradford was a powerhouse of the textile industry in the late nineteenth century and the cityscape today still reflects this. I have captured the industrial beauty of the city in this photograph.
