Breach 01 - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Photograph

Internet pornography is produced, transmitted and consumed through a multitude of screens. Screens of varying shapes, sizes and materials. Screens that respond to our touch. Screens that are breakable and bendable much like the view points they offer us. The work imagines an interruption in the process of consumption of the viewer. By 'cracking' the apparatus the viewer's vision is compromised and the corresponding visual is altered rendering it meaningless. The focal point shifts to the uncomfortable possibility that the screen, as another meaning might suggest, is actually hindering the experience and not really enriching it. My area of exploration is desire and pornography in the post-internet era, and how they constitute a political discourse that is central to the society. Through experiments in text, video and images I create experiential locations that facilitate and engage with the abundant and pornographic networks that we are a part of.
