About the Artist

Serge Horta

Hong Kong

Serge Horta is a documentary and fine art photographer dedicated to capturing the evolving environments of Asia’s megacities. His work spans both human documentary narratives and architectural studies of urban form, exploring how people and cities coexist within rapidly changing landscapes.

With a background in architecture, he is drawn to both the human stories embedded in urban life and the visual structures of the built environment - from dense street-level moments to large-scale facades and cityscapes.

Over the past two decades, he has built an extensive body of work across more than 100 countries, documenting cities he has lived in and passed through. His images reflect both the lived reality of urban transformation and the abstract patterns found within it.

His work is held in large-scale private collections across more than 20 countries, with prints installed at sizes up to 240 × 160 cm.
