The Pigeon House, The Poolbeg Generating Station or also colloquially known as The Poolbeg Stacks is a power station owned and operated by the Electricity Supply Board of Ireland (ESB). The chimneys are located on the Poolbeg peninsula, an artificial peninsula built of reclaimed land to the east of Dublin, on the south bank of Dublin Port. Its two chimneys, at just over 207 metres, are visible over much of Dublin, making them one of the most well-known landmarks in Dublin and one of the tallest structures in Ireland. Inspired by Black and white darkroom techniques, this image has hues of sepia seeping through the muted textured background. The red and white painted towers are symbolic of old hand painted photographs. See close up image for closer details. About the Prints: The photographs are printed on Fine Art Matte Hahnemühle Paper. Image sizes include a small white border for mounting. The Prints are stamped and numbered on the back. All photographs are printed using the Giclee print method. Prints are 100% archival - meaning the colour will not fade. Each photograph is a Limited Edition Print. Once the number of copies stated are sold, this photograph will no longer be for sale. Each print comes with a signed, stamped and numbered certificate of authenticity. Prints up to 30x40cm are carefully packaged in a clear archival sleeve are sent in a rigid cardboard envelope using an envelope stiffener to avoid any bending. Prints larger than 30x40cm are wrapped in archival tissue for protection and are sent in wide 100mm diameter tube.

Louise O’Gorman is a photographer from Ireland. Taking photographs is her form of escapism. The camera allows her to enter another world and create images that form connections with her feelings and experiences. Since graduating with an honours degree in photography over 25 years ago, she has had the privilege of living and working as a photographer in various capacities, across different countries. These experiences have enriched her perspective and allowed her to immerse herself in various cultures while documenting diverse stories and lifestyles through her lens. Her personal practice draws on these experiences. Through her photography she captures the evolving essence of people and places, the transitory nature of emotions and how it feels to be alive. Her images celebrate both life's emotional and physical journeys. Using herself as the subject, she places her physical presence in the frame to tell stories of a person, a place, an experience or an emotion. Rather than being self portraits as such, she uses her body in a more all encompassing symbolic approach to engage the viewer. She has exhibited her work in individual and group shows internationally. Her photographs have have been featured on several book covers, appeared in blogs, magazines and newspapers and form part of private collections.
