About The Artwork
In 2018, I started to combine calligraphy with human bodies. What I was thinking about was the relationship between words and people. The photographs here are actually photographs of the connection between human-nature-body. It may look like a scribble, but it says "letter." In this letter written by nature to human beings, human is actually only a small point of this ink. Berk Kır (b. 1997, Istanbul) graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University with a degree in art history in 2019. His work consists of combining moments in the flow of life with those of his fiction. It also focuses on emotional transitions and the occurrence of contemporary problems from a subjective perspective. The relationship between human and body appears as a subject in his studies.
