"Columbia" is the largest fine art photography of the Transition Loss series and one of the most vital artworks in the edition. With a surreal moment, the undefined story, but therefore the great storytelling between the lines, Sebastian Siebel is able to tell intense moments with only a few characters. The intense lighting of a famous building in berlin completely changes the scenery and people knowing the location are always overwhelmed about the absolute incomparable mood. The person sitting and acting on the stone object is a direct opponent to the architectural brutalism and the eagle on the left. Besides his smallness he dominates the picture in an intense way.
