About The Artwork

Published: A5 Magazine, London 2018 Wotisart? Magazine, London 2018 Average Art Magzine, London 2018 Signed/Numbered Certificate of Authenticity COVETOUS was shot as an anti-campaign image boycotting the sell of Conflict Diamonds during my station as the Creative Director of The African Diamond Counsel. When the grossly underpaid, abused miners are caught with a diamond possession the Gorilla Armed Forces cut off the miners hand or foot, and if they are caught engaged in any kind of sexual behavior they are castrated. The model is one of the marines that was sent to Africa to expose and to bring to justice these Gorilla Crime organizations. The blindfold is a UK flag representing the largest diamond trade company in the world which is said to be the headquarters of Conflict Diamonds trade. The 250 ct crystal diamond used was sponsored by Waterford! These crimes are still going on. Even though diamonds are lovely they are not worth lives! This photograph(s) was taken with a Hasselblad camera. It was shot on location or my studio. It will be printed on fine-art archival photo paper with a white border. To ensure quality the artwork is printed per order. Please allow additional time for delivery. Artwork will be shipped in a secure shipping tube.

I'm a New York-based photographer specializing in Fashion, Beauty, and Fine Art. I began my professional career in 2006. Since then I have won awards in fashion, fine art, and even journalism. Also, I have been published in industry books and magazines for all genres of my artwork. Being self-taught has given me certain advantages. The most important advantage is it has allowed me to develop my eye without the propaganda of the media. By removing media influences, I have creative freedom to express my point-a-view. As a teenager, I saw my first fashion magazine, and I immediately fell in love with this industry. Being able to shoot it now is beyond words. I taught myself how to shoot fashion and beauty by studying influencers such as Avedon, Cartier- Bresson, and Gordon Parks. I fell in order to shoot fashion you must first know fashion, and to be "Fashion" is creative icing. My fashion work is marked by M1T, defined as M "one" T. Between fashion shoots, I broadened my artistic eye through Fine Art photography. This work is identified by the M logo. My subject matter is simple, anything beautiful. And that ranges from a simple orchid to my fine art focal point Nudes. Shooting nudes allow me to remove a veil that sometimes we as humans hide behind. My collection entitled inkBLOT is my latest venture to removing the taboo of nudity. Overall I'm inspired by Picasso, Warhol, and the great Jean-Michel Basquiat. In this visual era, everyone with a camera is a self-proclaimed photographer. Established photographers crowned themselves with the title of Image Makers in early 2000. These group of professional people did this to individualize themselves from the general mass. In 2016, I trademarked myself as the first Image Architect. I just don't take photographs or make them I build them. I build them from the foundation of selecting my subject through the production of the final structure of the image. My Eyes are like a lens of on camera, and with every blink, an image is formed from my imagination. Being able to share my artwork is my personal Utopia! -Monet Kittrell
