About The Artwork

CURVES 8 is part of a series of artworks i made after visiting LABIOMISTA (Koen Vanmechelen) in Genk, Belgium. The curves and lines of one of the pavilions caught my full attention and i depict them here from various points of view. The choice to work in black and white is to accentuate the texture, structure and contrast of the architecture. CURVES 8 is a fine art print on paper, glued on dibond and framed with a thin black metallic frame (no glass). The fine art print makes the black the deepest you can imagine, it looks made out of pure pigment.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I use photography as a paintbrush to draw tranquil and delicate poetry without words. Colourful dreamlike paintings and abstract monochromes exist side by side in my artwork. They all have one goal: simplify the beauty and complexity of the world. In these decluttered images, shape, structure and colour become the subject. My creative process is explorative: experimentation and luck, pursuing unseen forms and patterns, to discover the concealed. The images i choose to work with are not picked for emotional reasons or memories attached, but purely for their interesting aesthetic and their promising balance of shapes, colour and structure. The resulting image is one that appears familiar but defies recognition, somewhere between fiction and reality, creating an atmosphere that solicits a moment of contemplation and slowing down. It is only in 2017 that i started working as an artist after pursuing a career in Human Ressources. I live and work in Antwerp (BE) with my husband and our two children.
