About The Artwork
[HD METAL PRINT] The vision behind the 'Urban Fire' series is to present an abstract view of today's architectural industrial landscape. Manchester and London are cities full of gargantuan structures that seem to defy the laws of physics, with their futuristic features and huge scale. Major cities like these seem to be at the centre of modern day industrialisation, and they are evolving at such a rate that what was once a natural landscape is now practically unrecognisable. Nevertheless change is inevitable, whether it be social, political or the visual change we see as humans around us. A world ignited by constant change is a scary one, but not only are these wondrous structures things of beauty, they also represent a deeper narrative to the impact of human life on Earth. The growth of these extraordinary designs seems unstoppable, much like the spread of wild fire, they explode through the skylines, but like any form of art they are incandescent masterpieces to behold. The Original photographs were taken at the PriceWaterhouseCoopers building that is located by the River Thames. I found that the cutting detail of this structure, and the way it flows up in the image, reminded me off a spiral staircase curving upwards into the sky. To me these connecting curves connect the two opposing sides of the structure, thereby producing a powerful force which creates this multi-tonal and radiant sky. The commanding shadows of the structure set against the riveting elemental clouds completely transforms this once ordinary building into something that is truly spectacular to behold.

I have studied and practiced in the field of Fine Art for over 8 years, with 2 of those years also being focused on my education in the fields of Graphic Design and Photography. From the study of these 3 creative fields I have not only built a strong and diverse portfolio of works, but also developed an experienced and unique style in the work I create. This includes areas of artwork, design and photography completed and practiced in my own free time. I feel as an individual I am always constantly evolving in my style, personally and professionally. As a creative, I produce a very bold commercial style that really focuses on contemporary illustrations, urban style photography, and also abstract studio photography work. My artistic influences come from illustrators such as Valentina Formisano, and artists such as Januz Miralles. I love the dark and outspoken emotive aspect that can be created in Art, and I tend to steer away from more classic styles. I also focus on ways to create an abstract perspective for the viewer and their opinions, through a variety of creative techniques. As a young creative in today’s society, I find myself, like many others, sometimes disengaged with the current contemporary art world, especially as I chose to follow the alternative option of experience rather than University studies. Which is also why a lot of my current time is spent on organising potential exhibitions and events, to showcase my work. I hope that one day I will have my own creative studio, where I can produce creative projects and give opportunities for young creative people like myself, to spread their creative messages, whatever they may be, throughout the world.
