About The Artwork

Our apartment in Paris is very near the St-Martin canal. Along the banks, the students would have lunch .When it was very hot, 45 degrees this summer, it was the only cool spot. Its quite rare to see bird life on the canal so it was surprising to find the family of French ducks and ducklings going for the bread, which in itself is illegal to give them. "DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS" signs are all over Paris with a hefty fine if you are caught. So it was very surprising to see these ducks tucking into bread !! This limited edition in black and white print will be printed on photo paper .The dimensions refer to the actual image size, the final print is slightly larger, allowing for a white border on all 4 sides, and a signature bottom right and an edition number bottom left. All prints are issued with a certificate of Authenticity.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in both cities. Art is the highest form of hope ! "It is only the heart that truly sees that which is important. " Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
