“LA Noir: A City Reimagined” is a study of contemporary Los Angeles conjured through the surrealistic and ominous visual perspective of the “noir” movies and literature of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. The mood comes from taking away rather than adding. By removing color, the images become an illusory dialogue between light and dark with possibility of unforeseen menace just around the corner.
