Still life of items found at my local dollar store. My intent was to make a statement about waste, class, consumer culture and capitalism. I also wanted to harness photography's power to transform and beautify. Archival Canon Inkjet printed from on Hahnemuhle digital paper.

I am a native Chicagoan, born 1968. Masters in Photography from Columbia College 1996. Exhibiting a few times a year in Chicago, also San Francisco, NYC. I teach photography full time in a public high school in a suburb of Chicago. I have been using the Holga camera for over 12 years now. I like how the body fits into the square frame. I also enjoy how the primitive plastic lens of the camera renders an image.
