A weeks-old mallard duckling looks for his mother after she flies away from their pond. This baby is one of eleven ducklings that the mallard mother and father raised in and around the Boat Pond in New York's Central Park during the spring and summer of 2021. On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9, 2021 -- after somehow making her way east across lanes of traffic, with ducklings in tow -- Mama Mallard and her babies received a police escort from Lexington Avenue back to the safety of the Boat Pond, where they daily stole the hearts of park visitors and COVID-19-weary New Yorkers. Digital color photograph giclee printed on Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper. Numbered 2/15 and signed by the artist. Shipped in a tube.
