El Capitan is a huge towering cliff in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Its top is over three thousand feet of nearly sheer cliff to its top lip. Admirers, Artists, & Climbers come from everywhere to appreciate this amazing granite cliff. Fall is a great time for photographers in Yosemite. The Merced River is running very low and the slow moving water makes some terrific reflections, especially when combined with the falling leaves from the oaks and maples along shore. this is one of my very best images of El Cap .
