About The Artwork
Photograph taken in Bukit Lawang reserve, Sumatra, 2016. whilst traveling in South East Asia. These animals are ONLY found in Sumatra, as the species in Borneo is different. I feel ashamed at the way the world stands by and watches as their habitat is destroyed, mostly by large corporations, so that now so few remain. They are our closest living relatives, but not it seems for much longer.

Born 1948, in Dublin, my parents moved to England when I was 7 years. In my adult years have lived in Ireland, England, Iran, America, Australia, Ibiza and currently Mallorca, Spain. I have been making photographs for many years, and was particulally interested in double exposures. Difficult with film !
