I used to be the bullfighting chronicler for La Razón de México newspaper. This activity was pro bono, since I am bullfighting ¨aficionado¨. This way I managed to publish many of my pictures in the newspaper. Bullfight season in Mexico City usually commences in October or November and the events starts at 5:00pm. There are six bulls every evening, so by bull number five, it is already dark and the lights of the Plaza México are on. The ¨Traje de Luces¨ (the Matador´s outfit) shines at night. This picture is one of a series of unique photographs that try to gather the essence of a bullfight. It enhances the movements and the lights. With this picture I actually like to imagine that the Plaza is empty and the spirit of an old bullfigthers came back to repeat one of his most successful triumphs. This picture was taken in November 4th of 2012 at the Plaza Mexico. It was the last bull, named Viejino, from the famous Mexican bull breeder Barralva.
