Etna's Trees - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Photograph

The work is part of an exhibition called REWIND: è evidente che dato un t sufficientemente grande E arriva a zero o negativo ovvero smette di muoversi the subject is a travel in three places. Norway, Venice and Etna that are first, for me, mental places, after I had abandoned research's photography for many time. Let the time flow, and realize that twenty years have gone by without apparently anything has changed, an older but intact world, an imaginary skimpy one that collects everything you think you know about "reality". The eye does not undergo mutations, it deludes itself to see, as the brain imagines to understand it that at the end it is mysterious and incomprehensible. So you put the eye to the viewfinder, again as if it were the first time and remember, the cut, the depth of field, the diaphragm, the shutter speed and everything will be unhinged. I use the digital medium coupled with the traditional film in order not to interrupt the fil rouge of my research.
