Fallen is one of the horses or Diomedes of Greek mythology. In my imagination I use the moment Hercules is in fight with one of the horses, to tame them. The image has been digitally edited. But the facial expression of this stallion is not manipulated. This is the moment and energy that this horse is in when I photographed him. "Beyond Horses" is a project I worked on for several years. I work with baroque horses on different kind of series. I choose the horses very carefully, and I worked with several very famous and important Frisian stallions. In some cases I let myself inspired by Greek Mythology. The horses of Diomedes and Buchephalus are present in my work. And on The other side I want you to connect en feel the different kind of expressions of horses. "The Source" is my second project. I want to explore origin of life, and if I can find beauty in transience?
