In ancient Rome, the vestal virgins had to keep the flame of Vesta alight; should it go out, then Rome would fall. Here, there are three flames; these can be imagined to be three vestal virgins dancing around the fire in a ritual to keep it burning. The vibrant colors inspire hope in the future.
