About the Artist

Anna Archinger

Denmark

Anna Archinger (b. 1994, Neuburg an der Donau) is a self-taught German photographer based in Dronningmølle, Denmark. Over the past five years, Anna has been developing a distinctive body of equine imagery rooted in emotional resonance, motion, and light. Her long-term engagement with horses informs a body of work that explores motion, atmosphere, and the sculptural presence of the equine form.

Anna’s work has been presented in numerous international exhibitions, including the Glasgow Gallery of Photography (UK), the Black and White Photography Festival (Athens), Chateau Gallery (Louisville), and the Holy Art Gallery (London and Greece). She was among the selected artists for the 2025 Ilkley Open Art Exhibition (Leeds, UK), the Rest and Recharge group exhibition at Brushwood Center (Illinois, US) and the PERSONA group exhibition run at Robert A. Peck Arts Center (Wyoming, US).

Anna Archinger’s professional accolades include a second place and multiple honorable mentions at the Natural Density Photography Awards (2024), the third place registered at the 35AWARDS international competition (2024), and an honorable mention in the professional category at the International Photo Awards USA (2023). Anna’s work has been featured in publications such as Visual Art Journal and Art Style Editions, where she authored a piece on the human–equine bond, and has been featured in several issues of the German equine magazine Hoophoria, as well as in print issue no. 309 of B+W Magazine (United Kingdom, 2025).
