A blindfolded girl wonders precariously from a maze. I was first inspired by David La Chapelle, but the only image from the series that really reflects his work is 'The Girl And A Ladder'. I like to keep the viewer curious without​ giving too much away so that they interpret the work from their own perspective. The image is shot on transparency film and cross processed. I wanted the image to be colorful as I was experimenting at the time. From the series, FREE RANGE. A fashion editorial shoot for Oyster Magazine Issue 24, Winter Freezes 1999. Shot on location at Harvey’s Farm, Harvey’s Farm, West Sussex, UK. This is my first ever published fashion editorial called free range. It was my first collaboration with the Fashion Editor Navaz Batliwalla and makeup Artist Jemma Kid. And it was the first editorial job booked by Duncan Ord at Booking’s Models. I sent it to Oyster Magazine, Australia and didn’t know what to expect. They called it Free Range as the chickens appeared to be unrestricted, free and healthy. The paradigm of the story was to look at human’s intervention with chickens and how we farm them and interact with them for our existence.
