Frozen patterns at lake Saroma, Hokkaido Photograph - Limited Edition of 5

I shot this image while visiting beautiful lake Saroma in Winter. Half of the lake was frozen, and all sounds seemed to disappear as well. It was a very surreal experience. After shooting several images of the lake my eyes were captured by this amazing scene right next to my feet, where water patterns were frozen in time in crystal clear ice. A scene you don’t see vey often, and so beautiful I was immediately hooked. I tried to compose these patterns in many different ways and focal lengths, and this is the shot I love the most. A very unusual image for me, but oddly enough one of my favorite from the whole trip. The original is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed.
