About The Artwork
Humans were not the only ones drafted into the military. During World War II, TWA enlisted an entire fleet of Boeing 307s into service to aid the allies. Once the war was over, outdated aircraft, like the jet in this picture, were sent to an aviation bone yard in the arid Mojave desert. Over time, nature's harsh sun and windstorms decompose the jets, breaking down and reclaiming the bodies of the heroic aircraft.
