About The Artwork

This work represents the Greek deity Gaia, Greek mythology, said that Gaia already existed at the dawn of creation, born of chaos. She was considered a goddess of fertility, since everything that inhabited the Earth arose from her. Gaia gives its name to an ecological hypothesis that affirms that the Biosphere behaves as a single living organism, capable of adapting the environment to its needs, self-regulating and perpetuating itself over time. Glicee print, professionally hand printed on fine art gallery paper Hannemüle Photo Baryta using archival pigment ink and supervised by the artist. Limited edition of 25 signed and numbered by the artist front in the extra 1 cm white border.Prints are shipped in tubes, and global shipping costs are included in pricing. If you would like a different size please let me know and I will create a custom listing for you on Saatchi Art *Please allow up to 3 weeks for order processing, printing, packaging, and shipping. www.taniaolby.com

My name is Tania Benito (Tania Olby), I am a visual artist / photographer based in Madrid (Spain), graduated in audiovisual communication and always looking for new perspectives from which to tell stories through my camera. As an artist, I dedicate myself to explore the incessant thoughts of my mind and materialize them in my artistic work, so I use photography as a catharsis and liberation. I have always been very observant, so it could be said that my inspiration comes from cinema, books and painting. The topics I deal with in my most personal work are focused on: The feelings, the things that move me and how they make me feel inside of the world we inhabit. I am currently immersed in a new project focused on raising people's awareness about our planet and I am determined to add value through art and make visible the struggle that tries to stop climate change. I firmly believe in art as a savior, a remover of consciences and the permanent light that dwells within us. You can see more of my work in my website:www.taniaolby.com
