About The Artwork

First, the goal was a lavender field in Provence under a starry sky… then the geometric harmony between the galactic arch and the perspective of the lavender rows ... finally I realized that the parallel went further ... in a truly dizzying illustration of the plurality of worlds ..." There are a thousand times more stars in our galaxy than the number of tiny lavender seeds in this vast field!" We're in one of these tiny grains, lost in the midst of this very concrete multitude, wondering "what's going on in the other tiny grains? » You see the little yellow glow at the tip of a lavender stalk in the bottom of the image ? This is us ! Created using high definition photographic printing on high grade Fuji Crystal glossy photo paper, the photograph is sealed under Acrylic Glass with an aluminum backing equipped with a wall mounting frame. Acrylic Glass face mounting enhances deepness of colours, clarity and depth of the image; its timeless design gives the artwork a contemporary and high impact look. Printing and sealing realized in Europe by one of the best rated photolab worldwide.

Philip developed his « Nature in Wide » artistic approach through hyper resolution large format Nature photography, creating with Light, Nature & the Universe. Philip was born in a small town in south-eastern France, bathed in the light of Provence, and now lives in Aix-en-Provence. His passion for Light, Nature and the Universe are the foundations of his photographic creations, all along a path of technical and artistic experimentation in the heart of Mother Nature, from his first photographs with a second-hand silver camera, to today's new large-format hyper-resolution processes. His sources of inspiration in nature photography are Ernst Haas, Art Wolfe, Murray Fredericks; then his master and brother in photography Michael Fatali "Light Hunter", a formidable hunter of light in the American West. Philip realized as he traveled the globe that, despite the diversity of cultures, there are emotions universally shared by all human beings when they come face to face with the spectacle of our universe. It is these powerful impressions that he wishes to convey. His images are often conceptualized long in advance, right up to the moment when the natural elements harmonize - the place, the moment, the light - to create the right impression, so that each image finds its meaning in the fresco of Nature, Humanity, the Universe.
