Glacier Tongue Photograph

Solheimajokull Glacier was one of the first glaciers we saw during our trip to Iceland. It was my first-time glacier hiking and I was nervous and excited at the same time. The experience of digging my axe and spikes onto the surface of the glacier as hard as I could and walking on something that is so ancient was so overwhelming. It's sad to know that these glaciers are melting so fast, I hope the generation to come could see and experience what I did. Cyanotype is been used to develop to make this print. Each print I make is handmade using archival paper, some chemicals, digital negatives, and sunlight. Once exposed the prints are washed with water carefully giving out this perfect Prussian blue. As each print is handmade it involves my full efforts and attention and love.
