Born in Brescia, Italy, on May 28, 1964, after graduating in information science he devoted himself with increasing interest to photography. From 2002 to 2014 he was a professional freelance photographer with active reportage from Western Sahara, Kosovo, Thailand, Belarus, Romania, Ukraine, Pakistan, India, Nepal. Some images of the reportage from Pakistan were presented on the occasion of the launch of the "Decent work, decent life" initiative at the Brussels headquarters of the European Parliament. In addition to his activity as a reporter, he has always taken care of Fine Art photography with keen interest in the landscape, architecture and nude. All the Fine Art activity is carried out using medium and large format analogue photography. He personally prints his negatives in limited editions on silver salt paper. The photographs are subsequently mounted on high-quality acid-free cards. The choice of analogue photography, instead of the more comfortable digital photography, essentially responds to an aesthetic need. The depth of blacks and transitional shades of grays have an aesthetic quality different from digital printing. In addition to the aesthetic aspect with analog photography, especially large format, it is not possible to exaggerate with the number of shots. This implies greater attention and communication with the subject being photographed, whatever it is.
