Great Buddha of Kōtoku-in - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

Kōtoku-in a Zen Buddhist temple located in Kamakura, Japan. The temple is known for its bronze statue of Amitābha Buddha built around 1252. At one time, the statue was gilded, but little remains on the Great Buddha statue. It is a designated National Treasure in Japan. On the outside of the temple, it is inscribed: "Stranger, whosoever thou art and whatsoever be thy creed, when thou enterest this sanctuary remember thou treadest upon ground hallowed by the worship of ages. This is the Temple of Buddha and the gate of the eternal, and should therefore be entered with reverence." Printed on high quality aluminum with a high gloss finish. Photo is also mounted in a black metal frame set in from the print's edge and finished with a wire hanger for easy hanging. Depth of frame is 1 5/16." Limited edition of 10 float mounted metal photographs sized 11x14. Print contains a certificate of authenticity on the back that contains the name of the print, a brief description, number in the series and signature.
