About The Artwork

Original on Canvas made up of 4 Separate Panels. Stretched with a white border over Wooden Frames and ready to hang as a square or lengthwise. Signed and Certificated by the Artist. Each canvas measures 15.75 inches x 15.75 inches (400mm x 400mm). Overall square presentation measuring 32.7 inches x 32.7 inches (830mm x 830mm) Assembled together either as a square or in a line the four canvasses provide an imposing fun piece. " This piece was Inspired by the monochrome stark Police Mugshots, or Felon Photos, of well known and loved celebrities. These included the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mick Jagger, Paul Newman, David Bowie, all usually pampered and managed for their photo shoot. The studio floor would be littered with the discarded images of blinks and other distractions the photographer tolerated to attain that well lit final commissioned shot. In contrast I have tried to capture the 'caught in the act' displeasure of the stark police custody mugshot. No studio, and just one stark image of each profile. Why a Teddy Bear?....an embodiment of innocence" - Paul Mann.
