" This piece was Inspired by the monochrome stark Police Mugshots, or Felon Photos, of well known and loved celebrities. These included the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mick Jagger, Paul Newman, David Bowie, all usually pampered and managed for their photo shoot. The studio floor would be littered with the discarded images of blinks and other distractions the photographer tolerated to attain that well lit final commissioned shot. In contrast I have tried to capture the 'caught in the act' displeasure of the stark police custody mugshot. No studio, and just one stark image of each profile.
