Blind Girl [Part 2] Photograph

[Part 2 of 2] Q: What/who inspired the work? A: A friend invited me and a few other people to his house. We had a good time and his sister joined us. She is blind and had to feel her way to us, using her hands. A few felt pity for her and the mood got pretty depressing suddenly. I thought she's doing just fine using her hands and as long as she was able to smile, that was all that counts. Q: What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? A: I hope people see both pictures and get some eerie and depressing vibes from them, until they observe them a little longer, to see its not that depressing after all. Just different. Q: Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? A: I chose to make these photograms because you create them in a darkroom. I found that creating these pictures in the dark fits perfectly to this theme.
