About The Artwork
Haraoka pier in Chiba prefecture is just a wooden jetty, but is incredibly popular amongst photographers. I only visited this location once on a very windy morning, and found myself surrounded by tourists and other shooters. Being able to get a single long exposure of this location was a real challenge, but I believe that all the waiting and hard work paid back in the end. I love the symmetry in this shot, and the simplicity of the pier against the dark water. The original is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed.
