ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was strolling through a park in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, when I saw this heron on the shore of a lake. I was afraid to scare her and avoided approaching. To photograph it, I positioned myself among the leaves of a tree and directed the focus to it. Being against the light, its silhouette was quite highlighted, accentuated by the purposeful blurring of the lake, in the background, and also of the leaves. I believe that lovers of birds and nature will enjoy this photograph.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
