Homecoming | Night train | Im Nachtzug - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

"The true voyage of discovery is not to look for new landscapes, but to have new eyes." Marcel Proust The image was taken on medium format film (Mamjya 6) in the late 1990s. After a long trip to south of France by train we arrived early in the morning near the mediteranean sea. The image is part of a series of black and white photographs about traveling the world included in my recent photobook and first shown in a solo museum show 2020. It has been integrated to the official art collection of Fribourg Art Museum (MAHF). Every photograph was developed by the artist, scanning the original analogue film negative and printed on fine-art Museum quality fiber paper (acid free, lignin free, no optical brighteners), baryte quality or HM matt. Other formats are also possible. Signed and numbered. Without being one of those globetrotters who regularly set out to conquer other places and continents, my work often deals with travel and tourism.
