This piece is part of "Paths of Orcia" Series. This series could have been titled "the wonderful valley" since Val d'Orcia is a wonderful valley, but that would have been too obvious. We know a lot about this enchanting place and have seen a lot, absolutely spectacular images that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. With Paths of Orcia, on the contrary, I preferred to dwell on just one aspect at the origin of everything: the land. The bare land is the creative force of the beauty we can all admire, of the shapes and motifs designing landscape. We are used to questioning the sky about our origins, but if we tried to look under our feet we would know better the fruits of the Absolute. Paths of Orcia, as well as physical places, are stages of a mystical journey in direct contact with the land, without any mediation: we observe it and live it every moment.
