About The Artwork
I work primarily in glass, and use my own photographs as the basis for my art. Outside my studio is a pond which is full of, and surrounded by, plants and flowers. I took several photos of this lily, and was struck with how this photo in particular reminded me of a painting. I didn't manipulate this photo in any way. I will, one day, create a glass piece inspired by this photo.

I've been working with glass for over 20 years in my studio in British Columbia, Canada. My eyesight is such that I like to be close to a piece as I'm creating it, so I spend a lot of time hovering over my workspace. For the same reason, I suppose, I like to work with tiny pieces of glass, which I then fuse together.
