Dr David Gerber, MD, MHSc, FRCS(C), is an expert cosmetic gynecologist based in Toronto, Canada, who is licensed and board certified. With over 25 years of experience in gynecology, Dr. Gerber has developed a reputation as a leading labiaplasty surgeon. He began practicing gynecology in 1997, after working for four years as a family doctor in rural Manitoba and Alberta. Dr Gerber obtained his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. After completing his internship in Cape Town, he practiced internal medicine and obstetrics in Ciskei, an underprivileged area in South Africa. During his studies at the University of British Columbia, he focused on Obstetrics and Gynecology, and during his residency in Toronto, he specialized in Incontinence Surgery. In 2004, he earned a Master’s degree in Health Sciences in Bioethics from the University of Toronto. In Toronto, Dr Gerber practiced academic gynecology at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Science Centre, specializing in minimally invasive surgery, colposcopy, and emergency gynecology. He has extensive expertise in minimally invasive clinic-based surgery, including micro-surgical techniques for labia reduction, fibroids, heavy vaginal bleeding, vulva disease, and precancerous lesions of the vulva, vagina, and cervix (abnormal pap tests).
