About The Artwork
An issue I frequently come up against is whether my work is photographic or a graphic representation of my photography. In trying to create fine art my process relies heavily on post production with Photoshop. My skateboarding shots probably come under the category of sports photography. But In review I come to see the images as posters – begging all the color and action I could bring out, hence the graphic look

David W. Phoenix is a fine art photographer with a penchant for creating conceptual and abstract imagery, usually in bright saturated color. After receiving a BFA in filmmaking and photography at Massachusetts College of Art, he worked two years in San Francisco seeking a career in filmmaking.
