About The Artwork

I was born in Uzbekistan when it was part of the USSR. I have many memories from there, including studying at the university to become a teacher. I'm Russian, in 2000, living in Uzbekistan became impossible, prompting my parents to explore options and eventually move to Moscow. I recall my initial impressions of the city, like the cultural shock of seeing girls freely drinking beer and smoking on the streets. After residing in Moscow for 5 years, I began living in other countries for varying durations. While I didn't dislike Moscow, I never quite acclimated to the snow and cold. This photo symbolizes the past, now preserved in a museum—a beautiful reminder of how far we've come, akin to the once inconceivable idea of a handheld, wireless phone with a screen. It appears somewhat comical and unbelievable now. The photo was taken at a Soviet-themed party. The photo is without a frame The photo is packaging in tube
