Art Description

Photography: Photo on Canvas.

Leh is the capital of Ladakh province in upper Himalayas. It is located at a height of 14000 ft in a valley which remains cut off from the rest of the world for a major part of the year. Weather can change dramatically here. It was pretty dark that day. Sun was completely covered by thick black clouds. I was trekking to a higher elevation from Leh city. Suddenly the clouds opened up lit up a part of town creating this dramatic scene. This is a once in a lifetime shot, I was just lucky to be there. Reminds me of what Ansel Adams once said, "Sometimes I arrive just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter".
