Light of the Divine - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Photograph

During my six-week journey across the United States, i found myself several times in awe of the landscape and the way nature blends with humanity. Some of these moments had an almost cathartic effect on my soul, clearing my thoughts and helping put things into perspective. This specific photograph was taken while driving on route 66 to Albuquerque. Despite travelling in early June, the weather was dire, with strong winds and heavy rain making it harder to cover the about 870km drive of the day. Within an unexpected moment, however, the water stopped pouring and the clouds parted just enough to let the rays of the sun shine through. My thoughts as recorded in my journal in that day: "The historic route 66 is no more, in its greatest length, as it has been decommissioned. Still, the parts that exist, offer a magnificent drive and unforgetable scenery across endless kilometers of across the country."
