About The Artwork

- edition of 33 pieces - 90×60 cm - print mounted - black shadow gap frame - signature on backside - created in 2011 price: 900 € + shipping When a person goes up a mountain, leaving worries and everyday life behind in the valley and surrendering to the majestic splendor of nature, an extraordinary feeling of freedom and peace can arise. It is a moment of inner contemplation in which the boundaries of one's existence seem to expand and one's gaze wanders beyond earthly trifles. On the summit of a mountain, a person can feel a connection with the omnipresent power that surrounds him. The weight of everyday life and worries seem to fall away temporarily as the thoughts and senses open up. The vastness of the sky and the majesty of the mountains remind us that we are part of a greater whole and that our earthly concerns and limitations are fleeting. This feeling that a person feels on a mountain, when he has left everyday life and worries in the valley and is a little closer to heaven, is a reminder that in order to grow, we should always strive with the spirit towards heaven, but in order to fulfill our life on earth, we must stand with both firmly rooted on the ground.

My work is about the beauty of transience, because everything in life consists of an eternal cycle of emergence, growth and decay. In every beginning already lives the end and every end holds a new beginning. In the Chinese Wu Xing there is the five-phase theory, which is also known as the "Five Elements Theory". Wood drives the fire, fire creates ash, ash gives rise to earth, Earth gives birth to metal, metal gives birth to water, water nourishes the wood, and the cycle begins again. Everything that is alive is part of this eternal cycle, which also includes the human being. Everyone decides for himself whether he wants to be a grain of sand in the gearbox or the lubricating oil. I offer visual inspiration for people who like life and want to be inspired by my perspectives to see things from a different point of view. People almost always play a significant role in my work and are the main characters in my photographs, which encourage people to linger. My work invites to appreciate the simplicity in life, to focus on the essential things and to live every moment in deep gratitude. The world we can not change, but we can change ourselves and thus in the end also the world changes.
